audience

for this I made an Instagram page for my Instagram page and made various polls about what my following would like to see in a fashion magazine, the results for these polls influenced the creation of my coursework as I tried to base my magazine and website off this
"would you prefer normal people modelling on the magazine or super model look alikes?"

78% votes normal people, the rest voted supermodel type models

"do you prefer sparse looking magazines or ones full of sell lines on the front cover?"

92% sparse, 8% sell lines

"would you prefer 2 different girls on each cover with different ethnic backgrounds, or a boy and a girl?"

74% boy and girl, 26% girl and girl

I also spoke to people in my year that fit in the brief age demographic and asked if they would prefer a typically sophisticated magazine that demonstrates stereotypical traits associated with sophistication, or leave the sophistication up to the reader, they all said they prefer a more minimalistic cover that focuses more on the photo and the clothes showcased rather than the front cover packed with sell lines, and leave the idea of sophistication up to the reader. I spoke to many of my focus group feel that modern magazines, are trying to drag them away from their youth, and they wanted to see something that is playful and more colorful magazines and pairing websites.
I also asked people if they would prefer to see models, or that I capture images of people that are like them, "normal" people, the majority said that they wanted people who were like them so it was realistic, this is why I used my friends
the majority out of the range of people I spoke to said they prefer reading magazines with an urban and youthful feel to them.
